Government Hospitals are owned by the Government and receive a high amount of funding for their operation and functioning. This is majorly a medical service given for the people of the state and the medical care provided here are absolutely free of any charges. The cost incurred in offering this service is bored by the government funding. Allahabad is one of the most populous districts of Uttar Pradesh. It has a count of 1.74 million people staying in proper city and about 6.0 million people staying in the district area. Medical services are a major requirement in this area. Considering this demand, the Government has sponsored several hospitals to provide free medical treatment for the people of the city. The initial treatment are done by resident doctors of these clinics and if the status becomes critical and need more specialized medical help the same is referred to the specified department of the Government Hospitals.
