By Air

Pantnagar is the nearest airport from Nainital which is about 32 kilometres away. You will have to catch a flight from Allahabad to Pantnagar. Most of the flights will halt at Delhi for more than five hours.

By Road

You can also reach Nainital from Allahabad by in your private car or you can hire a taxi. The rate per kilometre ranges from Rs 9 to Rs 18. The rates depend on the car you select. There are various trains like Garib Rath, Chaurichaura express, Bagh express, and Ranikhet express from Allahabad to Haldwani. From Haldwani you can catch a local state bus or hire a taxi to reach Pittoragarh. The distance is about 200 kilometres. Allahabad to Haldwani is 565 kilometres.
